We have been watching the locations near 58th and Georgia in Amarillo being built and watching as they open up. Finally, that area is getting some love. There is a Walmart, a couple of pizza places, gas stations, and a McDonald's.

We are still waiting and watching as the Joe Taco and a breakfast place called Ovr Ez are still being built. There is also a Starbucks that we have been waiting on to open. I mean if you want coffee over there and don't want to drive there were very few options.

You could get gas station coffee or McDonald's. That was pretty much it. That was until now. Over the weekend that all changed. There were a few posts on social media saying that the Starbucks on 58th had opened.

As I drove by there were a few cars in the parking lot and a banner letting us know the good news. Yes, the Starbucks on 58th and Georgia is open. That adds to two other places on Georgia Street where you can get Starbucks. There is a location inside of Market Street.

There is also a Starbucks in Wolflin Village at Georgia and Austin Street. So it is not the first of its kind in the area. There are several other coffee places down Georgia Street. Heck, we joke that there is a coffee shop on every corner.

The closest coffee place on Georgia Street to this area is on 34th and Georgia. So it is still a pretty good trek. I know that the people in the area are excited to finally get Starbucks open and ready to serve.
