I know for my family, we don't have a huge family and we just want to relax and enjoy each others company on Thanksgiving.  That's why this year we have decided not to do a big Thanksgiving meal.  We are going to take advantage of the restaurants open on Thanksgiving Day.

No countless hours spent prepping and cooking, no hours spent cleaning up.  Eat and enjoy each other and still go home and fall asleep on the couch.

Here's some great restaurants that will be open on Thanksgiving Day*.

One of Amarillo's treasures serves up an amazing Thanksgiving buffet.  Not only do you get a great meal you can check out this iconic place.  They are serving up carved turkey, cajun turkey, prime rib, cornbread dressing, mashed potatoes, giblet gravy, salad, green beans, yams, cranberry relish, rolls and end it with a piece of pecan or pumpkin pie.  Get your reservations in now.

Furr's has been serving up Thanksgiving Dinner for decades and this year they are cooking up all your holiday favorites. They will be open on Thanksgiving Day from 11am-6pm.

This is another great place that will take care of your Thanksgiving meal.  They will be serving up a great selection of Thanksgiving fare on Thanksgiving Day.

Not only can you enjoy all your Thanksgiving favorites, like turkey and ham, and potatoes and rolls.  You can shop in their country store for all your Christmas presents. Enjoy your Thanksgiving Meal 11am-10pm

Saltgrass wants you to start a new Thanksgiving tradition.  Most of their restaurants will be serving Thanksgiving dinner from 11am - 4pm.  Reservations are encouraged.

Most Applebees will be open Thanksgiving serving up their menu. Some will also be serving Thanksgiving fair. However, looking to save some money? Don't forget their 2 for $20 menu.

Denny's is always open, so yes it will be open on Thanksgiving.  You can enjoy some fare of their Festive Flavors menu or just have your Denny's favorite!

IHOPs again are open all the time, and if you are craving some pumpkin pancakes on Thanksgiving or a great omelet then enjoy your Thanksgiving meal at IHOP.
