Mike moved to Amarillo in 1986 and began his KGNC career as a weekend DJ before the Talk Radio days. He moved to a full-time board operator position the following year before moving into the Sports Director’s position in 1989. It was that same year he also began doing color commentary and eventually play-by-play for local high school football, basketball, volleyball and baseball teams on the Amarillo Sports Network, which is now known as the Texas Panhandle Sports Network. Mike spends much of his time with his daughter Addison and son Avery. He is a member of Coulter Road Baptist Church.
