The Texas Department of Public Safety has added a Lubbock man to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender list.

On Thursday, October 7th, 2021, Texas DPS announced a $3,000 reward for information leading to an arrest of 30-year-old Cory Lee Reed. Reed is wanted by authorities for failing to register as a sex offender.

Reed was convicted in 2010 of two counts of sexual assault of a child involving a 14-year-old girl. He was given two sentences of 10 years of probation to be served concurrently, but after only a year, Reed was convicted for failing to register as a sex offender. He received an additional five years of probation.

Then in 2012, Reed's probation was revoked after another two counts of sexual assault of a child and again failing to register as a sex offender. He was sentenced to 8 years in prison and released on parole in March 2019.

In September 2020, the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office issued a warrant for Reed's arrest for yet again failing to register as a sex offender.

Reed is 6 feet tall and weighs 170 pounds. He has scars on his head, lip, back, left forearm and left knee.
