NBC will be airing a TV special in honor of Betty White's 90th birthday. And it is very deserved. Betty White has been a part of our lives on the big and small screen for over half a century.

For those of you who don't know much about Betty (which I'm sure there is aren't too many), she is best known for her character on the 'Golden Girls, Rose Nylund which aired in the 80s and 90s. The show had over sixty emmy nominations and eleven emmy awards and four golden globes.

Betty White has had a plethora of roles on the big and small screen that have kept the public rolling with laughter. Her upbeat attitude consistent smile have endeared her to most. And for those of you who have seen the darker side of Betty White, you know that she is absolutely hilarious.

The special “Betty White's 90th Birthday: A Tribute to America's Golden Girl,” will air Monday night even though her birthday is January 17th. Among the celebrities in attendance will be Morgan Freeman, Amy Poehler, Valerie Bertinelli and Ed Asner.
