There is something about scammers here in Amarillo that really makes us mad. Okay, it's everything about them that makes our blood boil. They look for the easy way out to steal our hard-earned money. It's just not right.

They find new ways to do it, too. The scams have evolved so much over the years. I just wonder how much good these scammers could do in the world if they used their knowledge for good instead of trying to take this way out.

How Hackers Targeted an Amarillo Favorite

Recently, the scammers and hackers took over the DoorDash account of Class 1 Barbeque. If you haven't tried them yet, you are missing out. They are in the food truck park near Georgia Street. Taking over their account caused a lot of headaches for the business and us as customers.

Since then, hackers have taken over any orders that came through, and any money transactions have gone to the hackers. So, Class 1 Barbeque did everything they could to resolve it. DoorDash didn't close its account while everything was getting figured out.

During that time, Class 1 took to social media to let everyone know not to order through DoorDash. You could still call in orders or pick up at their location, 2963 Blackburn Street.

Two Weeks of Fighting Back

It took a long two weeks of phone calls and verifications, but it seems that Class 1 Barbeque has finally succeeded. They now rightfully have control of their account. All is good in Amarillo barbecue again.

You can still call in orders to 806-910-8640, pick up at the food park location, and now you can safely return to ordering through DoorDash. The hackers may have won the battle, but they lost that war. Everything is going to Class1 Barbeque again. That is a win all the way around.
