Concerts, Fireworks, Video Games, Movies; Summer at the Drive-In
In case you haven't heard, Tascosa Drive-In has kicked off their 2021 season. There's a lot going on this year.
Remember hearing the news that the drive-in was up for sale? We were all worried about what the future might hold. It looks like there wasn't much to be worried about.
Recently, the drive-in took to social media to share their plans for the upcoming season. There's everything from video game tournaments to the Fourth of July fireworks show planned, along with the summer movies.
That's just scratching the surface.
They'll be kicking off Madden tournaments in late March. If you're pretty good at the iconic football video game series, it might be worth checking out.
Also, they're going to be having a flee market open every other weekend starting in April. In May, they're going to having live concerts.
It's interesting seeing all of this as we head into the spring and summer months. Especially considering the last year.
My family fell in love with going to the drive-in last year. While everything else was pretty much closed down, this was still a way for us to get out and do something as a family.
I haven't seen anything official yet regarding new ownership or a sale. All I've seen is the video shared to the drive-in's Facebook page touting what a great money making opportunity it would be for the right buyer.
I was nervous about the future of the drive-in when news came out that it would be up for sale. It looks like I had nothing to worry about. It sounds like this year will be a busy one at the drive-in.
In the words of one of my favorite Texans, "The drive-in will never die."
