Amarillo Police Host Free Picnic With Food, Games & Music
The number of events happening in Amarillo right now is mind-blowing. An already busy June keeps getting busier. Every time you turn around, there's something being announced.
We have live music every week in Amarillo, and plenty of annual events are returning. The Route 66 festival just got started, and there's live music constantly right now.
The Amarillo Police Department has added something else to your calendar. They've got a very busy weekend coming up, and it all starts with a picnic.
What to Expect at the Picnic
On Friday, June 13, the Amarillo Police Department is hosting a Picnic in the Park at Thompson Park. There's going to be free food, music, and supposedly, there's even going to be games.
The whole point of the picnic is to give citizens the opportunity to meet the police officers in Amarillo. It's to help bring the community together, and a great way to do that is with free food and music.
Why the Amarillo Police Are Hosting It
The picnic is free and open for everyone to attend. It starts at 10 AM and lasts until 3 PM at Thompson Park.

Amarillo’s Summer Is Heating Up
If you find yourself thinking that there isn't anything to do in Amarillo, you're not trying hard enough. There is so much going on right now, it's impossible to keep up. Hopefully, this is just a glimpse of what we can expect this summer.

It would be nice to have a summer full of events, live music, and the occasional picnic.
