There's really no rationalizing something like this. Student Crime Stoppers in Amarillo recently announced their crime of the week, and it involves a local middle school. Vandals caused thousands of dollars worth of damages recently to Greenways Intermediate School, and authorities are looking for answers.

Vandalism At Amarillo Middle School Causes Thousands In Damages

It's heartbreaking to hear something like this has happened. According to the information put out by Amarillo Student Crime Stoppers, the incident occurred on Sep. 22. Officers received a call, responded to the call, and when they arrived there was what is described as significant damage done to the fielded area, playground, and benches at the school.

No specifics are given as to what the significant damage was, but it is mentioned that the damage to the property is valued at thousands of dollars. It's senseless, and it makes you wonder who would do something like this and why. They do mention that a red Ford F-150 extended cab pickup was caught on camera committing the vandalism.

Authorities Are Looking For Information On Possible Suspects

The Student Crime Stoppers are hoping that someone knows something, and is willing to pass that information along to authorities.
