Finding a job in Amarillo these days is easy, but not easy. I know that doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but allow me to explain. We see a lot of signs around town that say "now hiring", so there are jobs to be had.

However, a lot of those hiring places are not what most consider "career opportunities". There's a big difference between the two. Many are seeking their next career or looking to continue their current one, and those jobs can be a bit tougher to find.

How To Find Your Next Career Opportunity

There are many different ways to find opportunities, such as LinkedIn, ZipRecruiter, or Indeed. The issue there is that many are complaining that they're littered with work-from-home opportunities that don't feel long-term or even legitimate in many cases.

Sadly, that's how the landscape has changed, especially since COVID. There are plenty of places that are traditional jobs, though. Places where you go into an office and put in your work, collaborate with others, etc.

Another Job Fair In Amarillo

Job fairs are a GREAT place to find those types of businesses locally, and Amarillo tends to have numerous job fairs throughout the year. Amarillo College is getting set to put one on, and they are saying it's their biggest one yet.

They're planning on having representatives from 50 different companies, looking and waiting to hire you. Some could potentially lead to a job right there on the spot. Sounds like a pretty good deal, right?

What To Expect At The Amarillo College Job Fair

It'll be held on their East Campus on November 5th, and to make it even more convenient for you, there will be two different sets of times you can attend!

11:30 am to 2 pm and 5 pm to 7 pm will be when you can head there to find that next career!
