Door-to-Door Sales Surge in Amarillo: Are They Legit or Scams?
It's that time of season in Amarillo where the door-to-door sales are starting to pop up a bit more often. I've noticed it at my house for sure, and it doesn't seem to be for any one type of service in particular.
With all the storms we've gotten over the last few months, there have been quite a few roofing and window type of companies that have popped up at my door.
What Are Some Other Amarillo Business Canvassing Homes
Another one that has been relatively strong for whatever reason is internet providers. It seems the competition is getting a bit heavier out there for getting customers in the door.
Recently, Vexus announced a merger with T-Mobile, showing that the competitiveness out there is real. Some of these companies are throwing around some crazy deals and promising extremely fast internet speeds.
Are These Real Companies
Many of them are recognizable companies, some seem like start-ups trying to gain a base of customers and get their foot in the door of the internet battle. The question remains: are they real?
Just because someone throws a reputable company at you doesn't mean they're a true employee of the company. Do they have legitimate work badges? Can you verify that the person truly works for the company? These are things to watch for.
Is Amarillo Seeing Scam Companies
Recently, residents have been complaining about a couple of third-party companies that are out there throwing around deals that seem too good to be true, and maybe they are. Several have reported 500 Republic and Stars & Sky marketing showing up at their door, pitching products.
From what I understand, these are legitimate marketing groups; however, they seemed to be armed with pricing that doesn't truly exist when it makes it back to the provider. So are they scamming you, or just misinformed? The best advice is to do your own research and deal with the companies directly.
