McDonald’s Picks Amarillo Nonprofit for Gives Back Day 2026

In Amarillo, we have a lot of people and different companies that like to do good in the city. We've been blessed with some of the kindest souls, but companies that want to give back to the city. Not just local companies, either, but national companies.

Being able to help those in need seems to be a core value of residents here in Amarillo, and McDonald's is one of the companies that understands that.

McDonald's Names "Gives Back Day" Beneficiary

Every year, McDonald's has their "Gives Back Day" where they contribute money to a non-profit that is doing good in the city, and it can be tough when it comes to Amarillo. We have so many different organizations that do so much. McDonald's has chosen this year's beneficiary, and it's a good one.

Family Support Services will be the recipient of the funds raised during McDonald's "Gives Back Day" for 2026. Stephanie Khayat, the Marketing Director for McDonald's, stated, "For more than a century, Family Support Services has helped people throughout our community in crisis by providing a wide variety of services." She continued, "By supporting this great organization, we are supporting friends and neighbors across the region during times of crisis and family turmoil."

What Does Family Support Services Do

Family Support Services helps out victims who are involved in family violence, have been victims of sexual assault, or human trafficking, and they also offer counseling services for families and individuals.

According to Chris Villegas, the Fundraising and Events Director, "Family Support Services also provides prevention services and a wide variety of services for Veterans, their families, and surviving spouses."

McDonald's Gives Back Day is January 27th, and you can participate by simply visiting any location in Amarillo, Canyon, Dumas, Dalhart, and Borger.
