After the Fire: Temporary Location Found for Texas Rose

The Texas Rose Steakhouse in Pampa caught fire and the damage was extensive enough to close the restaurant. However, they are rising from the ashes.

On Sunday Morning, January 15, at 3:30 am the Pampa Fire Department received a call about a structure fired at 2841 Perryton Parkway. The fire was located inside Texas Rose Steakhouse. Pampa Fire Department sent 6 units to the scene and a total of 11 firefighters. The Hoover Volunteer Fire Department helped in extinguishing the fire by sending 1 unit and 5 firefighters.

The home of Texas Rose Steakhouse was damaged. Damaged to the point that the restaurant could not operate. When a restaurant closes due to a fire, that means, employees, lose their jobs, however, that is not what is happening to the Texas Rose Steakhouse.

In order to make sure their employees still had employment it has been rumored that the Texas Rose Steakhouse in Pampa is temporarily moving its location.

Employees will get to keep their jobs.

According to multiple social media posts, they are getting the old Dyer's BBQ location at 11816 US-60 cleaned up and ready to open for Texas Rose Steakhouse.

The great thing about the Dyer Family, who owns Texas Road Steakhouse, is they take care of their employees. According to their former marketing director, Sarah Clark, when the pandemic hit, Dyer's management was worried about how they were going to take care of their employees. As a solution, they were one of the first restaurants in Amarillo to offer delivery during COVID.

"They refused to send their employees home with no way to work," Clark said. "I no longer work with the agency, but they will always have a loyal patron in me for that reason."

Many of the people hearing about the move into the old Dyer's building in Pampa are hoping that they will offer a hybrid of Dyer's BBQ and Texas Rose fare.

We'll just have to wait and see. In the meantime, make sure you don't forget about the Texas Rose Steakhouse in Pampa. Once they get it opened in the temporary location, visit and enjoy their food.
