In August, no Texas Big Lots were included on the list of closures.   So at the time, we believed both Amarillo stores would be safe from the closures.  Unfortunately, that ended up not being the case.

If you go to the Big Lots website and look up the Grand St location at 3510 E Interstate 40, you will see that the store is officially closing.  They are having a currently having a closing sale.

This will be one less store on the east side of Amarillo. It will leave an empty gap at the end of Grand Plaza. Currently, the shopping center includes Ross Dress for Less, Amigos, and Dollar Tree among other businesses including medical, phone, and restaurants.

Right now, the Big Lots on Bell Street has not been marked for closure. Hopefully, this store will remain open, allowing Amarillo residents to continue enjoying savings. At least Amarillo will have one Big Lots store remaining for purchasing awesome Halloween and Christmas decorations.
