No parent wants to go through that horror.

Over 2,300 children go missing in the United States each day.  That is 2,300 children each day.  The FBI has over 337,195 missing child entries into the National Crime Information Center in 2021.  The 2022 statistics for missing children haven't been released yet.

Amarillo has seen many disappearances over the years.

Some of those cases still haunt the city to this day.  One of those cases is that of Dorien Thomas.  Dorien went missing on October 26, 1998, at the age of 9.  He went out for a bike ride and never returned. Both Dorien and the bike mysteriously went missing.  Dorien's family will never have complete closure until they have answers about what happened to Dorien.

No family should have to experience the pain of a missing child.

Currently in Amarillo Area and Lubbock area, at least 12 children are currently missing.  These are the children who have been missing since 2022.  It takes a village to raise a child and it takes a village to keep an eye out and help when a child does go missing.

We as a community can come together and help bring these children home safely.

Over 2300 children go missing every day in our county. Children go missing in every state and every city.

The Amarillo and Lubbock area are not immune from missing children. If you research and scroll through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children you will find that we currently have over 10 children missing in these areas.

The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children is an organization that was created to help find missing children.
