
Donut Drama in Amarillo – Is This Shop Closing for Good?
The great thing about Amarillo is that you can find a great selection of donuts. The donut battles in Amarillo are a real thing. However, there may be one less donut shop in Amarillo.
While scrolling through social media the other day, I ran across an ad for a real estate company in Amarillo, saying the property at 2823 S. Western. Then I thought, wait, that's Dunkin' Donuts?
Is Dunkin' Donuts Going Out of Business in Amarillo?
According to the Coldwell Banker video on Facebook, the property at 2823 S. Western, currently Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin-Robbins, will be available in January 2026.
Does this mean that Dunkin' is going away? We reached out to Dunkin' Donuts and asked what was going on, but at the time of publishing, we had yet to receive a response from Dunkin'.

What Does This Mean for Amarillo's Dunkin' Donuts?
Last year, the Dunkin' Donuts on Soncy closed its doors, the Dunkin' Donuts in the TA Travel Stop is closed, and if this Dunkin' on Western closes, that will mean Amarillo will no longer be running on Dunkin'.

This may also mean that Dunkin hasn't signed the lease on this building, and the real estate company is just preparing for a new tenant. It may be that Dunkin' is moving locations. Or, unfortunately, they may be closing their doors in Amarillo.

Hopefully, they will be staying but relocating, but at this time, all signs point to them closing.
Only time will tell; maybe we'll get an answer back from the company soon. In the meantime, Amarillo has multiple choices for donuts, including Got Donuts, which is expanding with multiple locations, Donut Stop, House of Donuts, Rise N Shine, and more.
