What Happened to Good Day Burritos in Amarillo?

If you travel along 45th towards Western in Amarillo, you have probably driven by a small yellow building. This building has housed many businesses over the years.

The most recent business in this location was Good Day Burritos, which opened in October 2022 after Oscar's Burritos closed.  On any given day, you would see a line of cars waiting to get their breakfast from Good Day Burritos.

I love their chorizo, egg, and cheese burrito for breakfast and their chile relleno burrito, or carne guisada burrito, for lunch. The burritos are huge and the salsa is fire!

What Happened to Good Day Burritos in Amarillo?

Good Day Burritos is No Longer Located at 4602 SW 45th Ave. There has been a lot of chatter on social media about them being closed.

Nah man, don't tell me Good Day Burritos Closed

Not to worry, they didn't close, they just moved. They are now located at 3609 SW 45th Ave., in the former Grandma's Cocina and Jeff's Grand Burger Building. It's a bigger place, and you can go inside and have more room to eat. To keep with the original theme, it has been painted the signature yellow color you have come to know, and they have a great mural on the inside.

As for the building, we reached out to the current owner to see what the future may hold, and they are in the process of cleaning up the lot and will soon put the building up for lease. If you are looking for a small place for a drive-thru, this is a perfect option.  A new shopping strip is being built right next to it, where the car wash used to be, and next to Total Liquor Store.

In the meantime, go grab breakfast or lunch at Good Day Burrito because they ARE NOT closed, they open and are ready to serve you in their new location.
