If you're looking for a quick trip or just want to explore Route 66 then it's time to hope on I-40 and head to Oklahoma.  Oklahoma is just up the road on I-40 and have so many fun things to occupy your time.

Oklahoma City is about a 4-hour drive from Amarillo, or Clinton, OK has a fun water park to splash away in, and they also have a cool casino, if you want to get your slots on.

However, if you are traveling in the Clinton area and you want a really great steak, then you'll have to get ready for an adventure to find it.

White Dog Hill Restaurant

White Dog Hill Restaurant is located between Clinton and Weatherford, OK off Route 66.

The home of White Dog Hill Restaurant was originally the Clinton Country Club and Golf Course which was built in 1925 and closed in the 1950s.  As with old closed buildings, they go into disarray and most eventually end up abandoned and vandals take their toll.  The years took its toll and in 2001 a restoration and remodel started and opened back up in 2007 to this hidden gem.

Those that venture to the White Dog Hill restaurant will see gorgeous views of miles of prairie.

The restaurant is located at 22901 Nth Rte 66 Frontage in Clinton.  You'll pull off I-40 onto the frontage road
