November will be a history making month for the state of Texas because Fleet Week is making its way to the Lone Star State.

⚓ Houston Makes History: To Host First Texas Fleet Week!

On April 24th, Admiral Daryl Caudle, Commander on the US Flee Forces Command, spoke with the Mayor of Houston, John Whitmire, through a video call and accepted an invitation from the mayor to host Fleet Week in Houston. This will be the first time that Fleet Week will be celebrated in any of the coastal cities of Texas.

🎉 Celebrating 250 Years: What to Expect at Houston Fleet Week

This year marks the 250th year of both the Navy and the Marine Corps, so it will be a grand event. The people of Houston will get the opportunity to tour some of the ships that the Navy will bring into the Houston port. There will be many active-duty service members in attendance that civilians can speak to and ask questions about their experiences in the military. The Navy and Marines will also put on some demonstrations of their equipment so that Texans can see some of the mighty capabilities of our armed forces.

✈️ Blue Angels Over Houston? Air Show Likely for Fleet Week

More than likely Fleet Week will bring with it an air show to Houston, Texas, and that will hopefully include a thrilling performance from the Blue Angels along with some other military aircraft. The Blue Angles perform a flight demonstration executing maneuvers sometimes within distances as close as 18" of each other in their F/A-18E Super Hornets.

This will be a fun event for everyone in attendance, so make your plans to be in Houston this November for Fleet Week!
