Amarillo Closing 2023

I know you see businesses come and go here in Amarillo. Change has to happen. We get new places added all the time. It is the circle of life. One business closes and another one opens. Having a business is tough.

Restaurants are seeming to close a lot more frequently this year for whatever reason. We are approaching the sixth month of the year and we are adding another one to the list. This will make it six for the year.

We are only five months into this new year. So the news is not good hearing of another restaurant closing in 2023. We are on our fifth closed restaurant in as many months.

An announcement of bankruptcy for your business can't be a good thing? Right? I mean that means that they are in financial trouble. Does this mean that this is the end of the place where many brides go for their wedding dresses?

We get new restaurants and we lose them. That is how they go. Sometimes they are expected. Really they are. Some just kind of close unexpectedly. Amarillo can be a tough place to open. I mean you need to get the word out about your new place. If you don't that is the end of you.

If you spend any time in Canyon, you have undoubtedly enjoyed businesses on the Square. They have a ton to offer. Canyon is the little town that could and does. They do pretty well.

I think that Amarillo gets a little set in its ways. We like to get new businesses. We like to see new places to eat. We really do. We also get hurt when we see a long-time business shut its doors.
