When someone says someone else fights like a girl, it’s intended as a diss with a nice dollop of misogyny on top. But the next time some jerk comes at you wth that nonsense, you can turn it into a compliment by yelling, “Oh yeah, well Charlize Theron does all her own stunts and could snap your spine in half like a pretzel rod, so there!” and run away weeping. In the light of a new behind-the-scenes video from the Atomic Blonde production, it is the ultimate comeback. For Charlize Theron does indeed fight like the girl (er, woman) she is, and that’s one hell of a way to fight.
Teasers trailer and trailers for trailers are often superfluous and repetitive. But when Universal dropped two brief looks at Charlize Theron in Atomic Blonde earlier this week, I was HYPED. Now the first full trailer has arrived, a restricted NSFW version that has a couple of F-bombs and a sex scene. How awesome is the above trailer? I kid you not, I squealed at my computer screen for about three-fourths of it. Then I watched it again. I’ll let you do the same, come back once you’ve finished.
SXSW 2017 has officially found its closing night film, and with the addition of the upcoming sci-fi thriller Life, this year’s Film program has a proper beginning, middle and end. The new film, starring Ryan Reynolds, Jake Gyllenhaal and Rebecca Ferguson, will debut in Austin next month to formally conclude the fest (which actually keeps going for a few more days, if you have enough energy to stick around), with all three stars present for the big premiere.
Years ago, when The Fast and Furious franchise first began, there’s no way we could’ve fathomed the myriad ways Universal would rework the words “fast” and “furious” into sequel titles. “No,” they said, “We will not simply call these movies The Fast and the Furious 1 - 8. We are creatives!” That creativity peaked with 2 Fast 2 Furious, (prayer emoji hands for whoever originally came up with that one), then along the way they sort of lost their mojo. But now, finally, with the eight installment we’re back on track with a brand new f-word added to the title. So long “fast,” this movie is all about fate!
It’s been almost 30 years since the last Mad Max movie (Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome) hit theaters in 1985, and almost ever since then director George Miller has been working on a sequel. That sequel, Mad Max: Fury Road, has been in the works for over 25 years and started filming over three years ago. In the latest episode of You Think You Know Movies, we take a look at Fury Road. It’s time to remember The Road Warrior. The man we called “Max”…
This new Mad Max: Fury Road trailer comes to us from Japan and is mostly a condensed version of the previous trailer, with a few new scenes added on. No matter. Even at just over one minutes with Japanese subtitles, it's still knocking our socks off.
When ScreenCrush published its list of the best movie trailers of 2014, the staff consensus on the number one choice was immediate: The teaser for ‘Mad Max: Fury Road.’ Now there’s a full trailer for the film and ... it’s even better than the first one. Is it too late to have two ‘Mad Max’ clips on one list?
It's been a long and dusty trip to 'Mad Max: Fury Road,' but the new sequel/spinoff starring Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron is finally here, making an official appearance at the Warner Bros. panel at Comic-Con 2014. Original franchise writer and director George Miller is back with an all-new, action-packed post-apocalyptic tale, and he's brought some footage with him.
We'd already known that 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' star Andrew Garfield would make his 'SNL' hosting debut in early May, but the final hosts of the season web up much more excitement. Not only will Charlize Theron return for her second time on the 'SNL' stage, but distinguished alum and 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' host Andy Samberg will return to make his hosting debut for the finale!
Seth MacFarlane is seemingly Hollywood's busiest man. Not only does he have a block of animated programing on the Fox network, he just made the smash hit 'Ted,' is about to host the Oscars, and has at least two movies in the works. Though there was word that 'Ted 2' would be filming shortly, it looks like his comic Western 'A Million Ways to Die in the West' is coming first, and will be co-starrin
