On Wednesday, the lineups were announced for the annual Riot Fest events in Chicago and Denver. Today (May 14), it was revealed that 10 of the bands will be playing classic albums in their entirety at the festivals, including Slayer, Jane's Addiction and the Offspring.
Jane's Addiction are currently co-headlining the 2013 Rockstar Energy Uproar Festival, and the Rock It Out! Blog caught up with frontman Perry Farrell at the Chicago stop for a wide-ranging discussion (watch above).
Trent Reznor has added members of Jane's Addiction and King Crimson to a retooled new edition of Nine Inch Nails, a process Reznor says started with a friendly phone call to Crimson legend Adrian Belew.
Chicago is the center of the music universe this week, at least where U.S. music fans are concerned, as Lollapalooza gets its annual spotlight. While they weren’t part of the actual Lollapalooza lineup, Jane’s Addiction did make an appearance in Chicago Saturday night.
Jane’s Addiction brought great songs and an extremely impressive stage show to Detroit’s beautiful Fillmore this past Friday (Feb. 24). The set came complete with dazzling light and video displays, a gigantic sculpture and three live dancers hanging from the ceiling in oversized dresses.
First it was Sept. 27, then it was Oct. 4.
Now the latest release date for the new Jane’s Addiction album, ‘The Great Escape Artist,’ is Oct. 18.
