'Still NYC,' a short film about New York City by Ynon Lan, is the result of hundreds (thousands?) of photographs Lan took throughout the five boroughs on a recent trip. Mostly Manhattan, from the looks of it — not a ton of yellow cabs to be found in the Bronx — though Brooklyn and Queens do have their share of gorgeous brownstones with photogenic front doors.
Hey, thanks Sandy! As if people didn't hate taking the bus enough, now we get to wait in a line to wait in line to ride one. That's right -- the lines have lines. It's taking people multiple hours to get to and from work. Good thing it's not miserable outside. Just kidding, it totally is! Here are some pics of what people are doing just to get to work.
If you've spent time in New York City, you've seen your share of rats. The most common place to spot the unpopular rodents is in the city's subways. Thanks to Hurricane Sandy, many of the subway tunnels are currently flooded, leaving the rats nowhere to go but up.
And according to experts, they will have no problem doing so.
