I recently wrote a blog about items on the Facebook marketplace in Amarillo that made me scratch my head or giggle. There was a dinosaur looking for his contact lens, a stop sign, a puppet, an old vending machine, and those candies.

Those candies. Those rainbow-colored Cheeto-looking candies.

The person who makes those candies contacted me on Facebook. Her name is Destani, and she told me I should try them. I said, "okay."

I'm paraphrasing.

Now there is a big giant bag of the candies sitting on my desk and I have to put those candies where my foot usually finds itself.

Tomorrow we will be filming an honest taste test of the different candies that Destani dropped off.

I decided to browse through Amarillo's Facebook marketplace and see if I could find anything interesting. I clicked on "Miscellaneous" and tried to find an interesting good deal.

While there were a lot of leftover garage sale items, I did come across a few interesting items that caught my attention.

Puppets

I immediately stopped scrolling. I never expected to see a puppet of this caliber on the Facebook marketplace for Amarillo. I am impressed that there is someone out there who knows how to make puppets. I wouldn't know where to begin, except for tearing up the foam on my sofa.

Vintage Vending Machines

I remember seeing machines that looked like this vending machine, and they dispensed cigarettes; which didn't seem cool to me until I was, unfortunately, a smoker. I can't remember the last time I saw a vending machine like this.

Dinosaurs

If you didn't get enough at Jurassic Quest over the weekend, you can find dino sculptures. This one is of a raptor looking for a lost contact.

There's a street missing a stop sign

I wasn't expecting a stop sign, being sold as-is, on a pole. While fun to imagine someone uprooting a stop sign and putting it up for sale, I doubt that was the case. However, it does look like it's been on the wrong end of a barrel; if you know what I mean.

Food That I Don't Understand

I did a double-take. I didn't expect to see what I at first thought were rainbow-colored Cheetos. Then I saw they were candy, and I began pondering what exactly is sprinkled on them?
There's a lot of food on the marketplace. From Tamales to apparently candy, the Amarillo Facebook marketplace is a smorgasbord of culinary attempts.
