Stories like this always warm the heart! After receiving a message from a Norwegian fan who was hospitalized and unable to attend Disturbed's show, guitarist Dan Donegan paid him a surprise visit on the day of his release, bringing some special gifts with him!

Before the surprise, Donegan explains how he received a message on Instagram from a fan who underwent two surgeries and had been in the hospital for three weeks. As a consolation for not being able to make the concert, the guitarist, along with a film crew, knocked on the door to the room, catching the fan in a state of disbelief.

The visit got even more touching as Donegan brought along a signed drum head and a pair of Disturbed shirts for the fan. Before leaving, the two had a brief chat where the fan revealed he had cancer in his youth and was afraid his recent health issues meant the cancer had returned, though, fortunately, it had not.

The band is currently wrapping up the album cycle for Immortalized, meaning it will be a while, possibly two years as Donegan explained, before Disturbed return to Norway. When they inevitably do, the guitarist instructed the fan to get in touch once again and he will be added to the guest list with the option to bring a friend to the show.

The hard rock titans are planning a return to the studio either late this year or early next year as they work on follow-up material to 2015's chart-topper, Immortalized. David Draiman also revealed the band will release an acoustic EP before the next full length comes out.
