When Your Child Is Scared Of Santa In Amarillo

It happens A LOT. You see those kids that are thrilled about seeing Santa Clause. It took a long time for me to get those kind of kid with Santa pictures.

This is basically what my photos looked like for awhile.

Yep, that was my daughter at about one and a half. I was sad. I wanted those beautiful holiday memories. Those great photos with Santa. It was a dream of mine. It did not happen for a long time.

Then one year. It actually happened. I was elated. I remember pleading with her. All mommy wanted was one good picture with Santa. I would even let her go and pick out a present for herself if she would just grant me this one wish.

It took until she was about four. Offering a present was the way it actually worked. Well that and a few years for her to understand Santa was not bad. After that moment Faith wanted to go see Santa every year.

She even went extra so she could bring her dog too.

I finally got my holiday memories. So if you are a parent, like I was, whose kid is deathly afraid of Santa....just know it will eventually happen. Oh and maybe try bribery too. Kids love presents.
