WTAMU Rests Before Heading Into Final Stretch Of Regular Season
This week West Texas A&M University Buffs will be getting a little rest. There will only be one game covered when the Lady Buffs take on the Texas Women’s University Pioneers Saturday.
The Buffs are taking the break coming off of a pair of at home wins last week. Last Thursday the Buffs dominated the WNMU Mustangs in a contest that ended in a 99-55 win. Four of the Buffs put up scores in the double digits, led by a career high 23 points from Drew Evans.
Then last Saturday the Buffs were able to score another win at home inside the First United Bank Center against UT Permian Basin. The 105-86 win over the Falcons has WTAMU and UTPB tied for first place in the Lone Star Conference.
After the break, the Buffs will go into the final stretch of regular season play with two matchups on the road. On Feb. 8 the Buffs will hit the road to take on Cameron, and then they will travel to go head to head against Midwestern State on Feb. 10.
In the only game we will be covering this week, the WTAMU Lady Buffs travel to Denton to take on Texas Women’s University Pioneers inside the Kitty Magee Arena. The Pioneers are 7-11 on the season and 4-8 in Lone Star Conference play. WTAMU Lady Buffs are 17-4 on the season and 9-4 in LSC.
We will begin coverage at 1:45 pm Saturday, Feb. 3 with pregame analysis with tip-off set for 2 pm.
