This restaurant location has seen its ups and downs in Amarillo. It's not the first time we have seen a sign on the door letting us know that they were closed. Times before they have reopened. Now we are not so sure.

Let's go back several years when we would go to the corner of 34th and Georgia. In this building screamed our youth - Blockbuster. It would be where we would go hoping our favorite movie was available for rent. Then the rentals all went away and that building sat empty.

Since at least 2012 there had been a Subway in that location. There have been a couple dental locations too. That Subway has been a staple for quite some time. Of course, it has had its issues. It has closed "temporarily" a time or two.

Luckily, we have always had another one close enough on Washington Street or even Western Street, but it was nice to have this one close by. We just may not have it anymore. It seems they are closed again.

The Google listing again says "temporarily closed" but according to a recent social media post, there is a for lease sign up. That doesn't seem too temporary.

So is it a mystery? Are they just temporarily closed or is this one going to stick? The listing says temporary, but the empty store and for lease sign says otherwise.
