Amarillo Raises Some City Fees

Water and drainage fees have been raised in Amarillo.

The fees went into effect on October 1^st.  Water and sewer rates were raised across the board by 3%.  There is also a 4% increase in drainage fees.

The hikes are part of a five-year city-wide improvement plan designed specifically to keep up with Amarillo’s growth.

The most visible improvement due to the fees will be better storm water management.
