Amarillo found out over the Fourth of July holiday that the Tascosa Drive-In was getting new life. We have never needed good news like that as much as we need it now. So a business that was closed is indeed getting new life.

The drive-in is going to see better days again. They are not wasting any time either, which is good. I mean this is prime drive-in movie season so really it needed to happen sooner than later.

They first let us know about the new playground they are working on. They are planning to honor the previous owner's late sons. This is a very moving tribute and shows how much respect the new owners have for the legacy of the drive-in.

They have made the announcement recently. Not only do we have an opening date, but we also know what movies they are going to show. That is not the only new post they have on their social media page that they shared recently.

Tascosa Drive-In is also looking for a new logo and they are asking for our opinion. When was the last time a business did that? So you can also get on their social media and let them know which one you like.

Keep an eye on their Facebook page because they are very active in the days leading up to the re-opening. I am sure this is not the only news we are going to see. Amarillo has asked for it. Amarillo has gotten it. The Tascosa Drive-In is back. Let's continue to show them the love as they open up. Get the family out and see a movie or two this summer.

Long live the Tascosa Drive-In.
