The pictures look like something you would see in a movie. A vehicle all the way inside of a house with only the rear doors visible. Well, it wasn't a movie. It was real life for folks over in the Bivins neighborhood on Monday.

A passenger shuttle van, from what appears to be the Holiday Inn Amarillo West Medical Center hotel, was driving westbound on I-40 when it ran off the highway and into the neighborhood. The van crossed the median and came to rest inside a house along I-40 and Travis Street. At the time, it is being reported that there were several people in the home including children. Multiple people were taken to the hospital, but early reports indicated that the injuries were not critical and that none of the children were injured.

As you can see from the pictures, it is a miracle that no one in the house or van was killed in this accident. If you look closely, you can see the magnitude of the impact by a road sign that is impaled into the top part of the house. While it is not determined if the home is a total loss, but the part where the van came to rest was been pulled down by emergency crews due to the instability of the structure.
