The Amarillo NAACP invites the public to join to volunteer for a Day of Service honoring Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Monday January 20th, calling it an entire community event.

As part of its annual celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the Amarillo branch of the NAACP wanted to do something special to celebrate this year.

Instead of hosting a reflective march, the Amarillo branch is hosting a day of service for the entire city of Amarillo. Everyone is welcome to attend, showing our Panhandle support for all Texans.

The day kicks off as follows:

Monday January 20th

9:00 AM – 11:30 AM Community Wide Cleanup (check-in at Warford Activity Center 1330 NW 18th)
12:00PM – 3:00PM Volunteer Lunch (Warford Activity Center 1330 NW 18th) 30+ vendors with community resources
