Blood Donors Are Needed In The Texas Panhandle

It seems like there are two things we are always in need of in the Texas Panhandle. One, we could "always use the moisture." Two, we are always in need of people who will step up and donate blood.

According to a press release from Coffee Memorial Blood Center, Spring Break and the weeks after present a challenge to maintaining our areas blood supply. With vacations being planned, school activities, and summer break looming, people tend to get out of their routing when it comes to donating.

The need for blood is still very present, though. The press release goes on to state that accidents still happen, and that cancer patients and those battling life threatening conditions will still need need life sustaining blood.
