One of the greatest things a city can do, no matter big or small, is making an effort to beautify the city.

He has a goal; a mission. He wants to paint a mural in Amarillo that reflects the true history and culture behind Yellow City.

There is no doubt that murals have become a huge thing here in Amarillo. You can drive all over town and see these works of art all over different businesses in different parts of our city.

Every year there are new, creative, imaginative murals added to the city as part of the fest.

Just look at those mushrooms.

There's something about turning a corner and being met with a beautiful, unexpected, work of art that is larger than life.

These amazing murals popping up all over town are the work of one program

If you have ever traveled 287 going to Dallas, then you have driven through Claude, Texas. It's one of those small towns you blink and you miss it. However, deep in the heart of Claude are citizens who love their small town.

Seriously, this is pretty cool news. Can't wait to see what new murals we get.

The mural would be done by an artist who has been using art to make a positive impact in the panhandle for quite a while now.

After we had to give up having the Hoodoo Mural Festival last year, the artists kicked it back off with incredible pieces making the wait more than worth it.
