There’s Another “Cirque” Coming To Amarillo. Think “Pirates.”
Are Cirques a thing that are going to become commonplace around here from now on? I'm wondering, because last year we had the Paranormal Cirque and now we have Cirque Italia coming to town.
I'm still not even sure what a "cirque" is, technically. What I do know, is that it looks interesting, and they have a lot they're bragging about.
Instead of being centered around all things spooky, this one seems to be taking on a more "pirate-centric" theme. I'm interested in seeing some crazy acrobatics on the high seas.
At least, that's what I'm hoping it means when they say the family can go on a pirate adventure.
Speaking of seas, they do advertise that there is going to be a 35,000 gallon water stage. I don't think I've ever seen those two words, water and stage, put together like that.
On top of that, they're also touting a "mesmerizing water curtain" and state-of-the-art fountains.
The ads do mention having a chance to go on a pirate adventure, and some of the photos I've seen do have some very "pirate looking" characters in them.
Of course photos feature all of the high flying acts you've come to expect with anything attached to the word cirque.
If you went to Paranormal Cirque and enjoyed yourself, this will probably be something you'll be more than interested in attending. For people like me who missed it, I'm more curious than anything.
The photos do make it look like something you don't want to miss.
It's going to be in town in early April, starting on the 8th. You can get more info here.
