This Horror Movie Villain Is The One Texans Fear The Most
With Halloween just around the corner, the curious minds at Frontier Bundles decided to figure out which horror movie villains are people most interested in/scared of state by state.
The results are a little shocking.
Maybe it's because I'm new and stereotypes can sometimes be fun, but I really thought Leatherface would be a given in Texas. Instead, all you rough and rowdy cowboys are really into Chucky.
It made me scratch my head too.
My home state, Oklahoma, is really into Norman Bates. Not surprising, seeing as how if you're from Oklahoma you probably went to high school with someone that made you think, "That guy will totally wear a dress and stab people when he grows up."
Colorado didn't shy away from stereotypes with the Shining winning over all others.
Alaska got sci-fi with it and got most "spooked" by the Alien.
Here is a breakdown state-by-state:
Frontier lists their methodology as follows:
The Frontier Bundles data analyst team selected 15 popular villains from classic, pre-2000 horror movies and used Google Trends to analyze their search volume in the last 12 months. We then reported the villain with the highest search volume in each state.
