It has officially been a month since I started training at Nick’s Fight Club. I was a little underweight, smoking a pack of cigarettes a day, hardly ever slept, ate one meal a day, and just generally felt sluggish all of the time. One month later and I couldn’t be happier with my results.

As of today, I’m weighing in at 148 lbs. and I’ve cut back the cigarettes to around a pack a week. I feel like I have more energy. My appetite is back. The best part, which may sound funny, is that for the first time in my life I look at myself in the mirror and like what I see. The hard work is paying off. I can actually see muscle where there was only skin and bone before.

A close friend of mine recently told me she was considering going to Nick’s, but she doesn’t want to feel like she’s being compared to other people when working out. She also was afraid of the intensity.

I won’t lie. It’s tough. I’ve been doing the classes as well as one-on-one training with the goal of scheduling a bout by the end of the year. The trainers, Steve, and even the people you work out with while in the classes encourage you every step of the way.

Classes consist of four stations that you rotate through. It is a workout that is designed to work your entire body. You'll do cardio, work your abs, do constant combos on the bags, and step in the ring to go through combos with a trainer.

The staff at Nick’s is incredible. They make you feel like you belong from the first moment you walk in, and sincerely want to see you become the best version of yourself you can be.

They want you to ask yourself, “What’s your fight?” at Nick’s Fight Club, and they want to help you win that fight. Challenge yourself and check out Nick’s at one of their two locations in Amarillo. I’m usually there around 10 am. Be sure and ask about sign up specials when you visit.
