WTAMU’s Buffs Are Back In Action This Week On Lone Star 98.7
This week sees the Buffs returning to regular action coming off of a break. This kicks off the final stretch of regular season play heading into February.
Thursday, the Buffs travel to Oklahoma as they take on the Cameron Aggies inside the Aggie Gym in Lawton. Saturday, WTAMU will travel to Wichita Falls to meet up with Midwestern State inside the D.L. Ligon Gym for the Highway 287 Challenge.
The Cameron Aggies are coming off of a win from Saturday’s contest against Texas A&M-Kingsville. CU were able to best the Javelinas 67-58. The Aggies went into the half with the lead and never looked back.
The Javelinas defeat makes Cameron’s Aggies 9-13 for the season and 5-8 in Lone Star Conference play.
In Wichita Falls on Saturday, the Buffs will take on Midwestern State University’s Mustangs in the Highway 287 Challenge. The last time these two teams met up, WTAMU walked away with an 83-76 win.
MSU’s Mustangs have won five straight at home, including last Saturday’s win over Angelo State. The Mustangs had six players put up double digit figures in securing the win. Midwestern State improved to 9-14 on the season and 5-8 when it comes to Lone Star Conference play.
The Buffs currently sit atop the Lone Star Conference with a record of 20-2 overall, with a record of 10-2 in Lone Star Conference play. They have a slight edge over UT Permian Basin who is 18-3 overall and 10-2 in the Lone Star Conference.
Coverage begins at 5:15 pm on Thursday with pregame analysis before the Lady Buffs take to the court. Saturday, pregame analysis begins at 1:45 pm.
