When we head out for Fourth of July celebrations in the Texas Panhandle we have come to expect fireworks. We light off all of the arsenals that we can. We look up to the sky to enjoy the show of others. There never seems to be a lack of lights and noises in the sky to entertain us.

It seems like this past holiday we had plenty of shows to enjoy. There were fireworks in Canyon, at Hodgetown, at Lake Meredith and even the city of Amarillo put on a show. Their show was a little bit different this year.

There were fireworks of course. We didn't get rid of those. There was also a drone light show as well. This was not our first introduction to a show like this. Amarillo has had a few at Hodgetown as well.

I think this is the first year that a drone light show has been incorporated into a Fourth of July celebration. I like the fact that there were fireworks too. So it really was the best of both worlds. There is just so much you can do with a drone light show.

The designs are endless. If you didn't get to see this year's show you did miss a great sight. The Texas Panhandle knows how to celebrate. There has never been any doubt. Amarillo just upped the game this year with their celebration.
