Along With the Snow Came the Reopening of an Amarillo Location

Amarillo saw a lot of places remodeling in 2024. We had Braum's changing up, Dairy Queen, Whataburger, and a lot of Wendy's. Some places were open during their remodel and some just couldn't.

Some places in Amarillo got a face-lift and some were torn all the way down and built back. That is what happened to a lot of the Wendy's in Amarillo and Canyon.

So it's like different parts of our area had to travel a bit further if they wanted a frosty and some fries to dip in it. That also happened at the Wendy's location on I40 and Ross. They closed before summer and we got to watch the progress.

This location was totally demolished.It was weird driving by that location since it is right there at the corner of I40 and Ross. It gets a lot of traffic around it all of the time. So to see it down to just an empty lot was sure a sight.

It took some time to rebuild but the wait is over. The Wendy's on I40 and Ross reopened over the weekend. While places were all dealing with the snow that came through Amarillo the Wendy's took that time to reopen.

Amarillo was not lacking in other Wendy's locations. There are more than five all over our city. When the one in your neighborhood closes it does limit where and when you can go. So this is good to have them reopen finally.

It's new. It's nice and it is open.
