Don’t Get Caught Without This at Amarillo Events

If you don't already have a clear bag you keep around the house in Amarillo, you need to grab one. It seems more and more places are requiring them for entry. I'm surprised that this has not become the norm for any place that sees a lot of the public enter.

It's funny because a business that I used to work for made them several years ago. I grabbed two just to have. I’ve never used them more than I have this year. It's not because I haven't gone somewhere that needed one before. It's just that I am very low maintenance.

Why Clear Bags Are Becoming Essential in Amarillo

I don't carry a purse. So I don't have enough stuff to fill up a bag. So it turns out I never needed to use one. That all changed when I went to Hodgetown for their 4th of July game with my granddaughter in Amarillo.

She’s outgrown the diaper bag, but still needs plenty. One of the important items I now needed a clear bag to bring in was wipes. You don't realize how important those are until you purchase cotton candy or ice cream. All of a sudden, you are brilliant. A clear bag to throw in those wipes and maybe a few toys to distract.

It's also great to have to throw in any purchases you may make, like a Ruckus stuffed animal we needed at that game. It's surprising that here we are adding a new place that requires a clear bag.

New Clear Bag Policy at the Civic Center

A place that I would assume was already sporting a clear bag policy, but no. The Amarillo Civic Center has not required a clear bag until now. It makes sense. There are a lot of events, from sports to trade shows.

Where there are a lot of people, it is just easier to have a bag that can easily be glanced at and checked for approved items. It gets you in the door quicker than having to empty that monster of a purse you may have.

How to Be Ready for Amarillo Events

So, be prepared the next time you go to a concert or to cheer on the Wranglers or the new West Texas Warbirds, make sure you check their clear bag policy. Making sure you have one at home for any event is just a smart thing for you to do. So you are not scrambling to find one at the last minute.
