Any time that family comes to town for a visit, we want to show off some of the best Amarillo has to offer. We try to take them to local places. You want to show them what we have to offer.
We have great sites around town like Palo Duro Canyon, the Cadillac Ranch, and Sixth. The shopping is not limited to the mall. We also have shops on Sixth, and we have a lot of great local boutiques.
Where The Locals Go To Eat in Amarillo
Then there comes the food. The places we have to eat could be some of the best. You know you want to introduce them to places they don't have back home. Oh, and Amarillo has a little bit of everything.

We have great local places that you might not even know existed unless you live here. Those are the places that you should take family and friends when they come from out of town.
Those small shacks that you may just drive by if you didn't know they were there. I don't know how many times I just drove by looking for Coyote Bluff. Those unsuspecting locations are the best.

The Delvins, the Shi Lee's and even Indian Oven can be an unsuspecting location. It doesn't even matter what you are in the mood for; Amarillo has a perfect hole-in-the-wall for everyone to enjoy.
On the list is Mexican food, Japanese, Soul food, Burgers, chicken fried steaks, and ice cream. Now, these great places will make sure your guests will want to return and try another favorite from the list.
