As responsible adults in Amarillo, we try to keep things working. We really do. We try to keep ourselves motivated to show up to work each and every day. We try to make sure that other things in our lives work too.

You may have that one spot in your garage or your laundry room that is collecting things that have stopped doing what they need to do. We plan to look at it and get it working again at some point.

Why Amarillo Needs a Repair Café

Maybe you have a pile of clothes that needs a needle and some thread to make it wearable again. We are all guilty of it. We would love to get it usable again instead of tossing and buying new. What a waste that is.

Maybe you just don't have time or the skill to do whatever is needed, that is why this Saturday could be your day to get those honey-dos off your list and that pile at your home gone.

What You Can Bring to Be Fixed

Amarillo Parks and Recreation is hosting another Repair Cafe, according to their social media:

Are you in need of a free repair?
Repair Café returns to Warford Activity Center this Saturday, September 20th, from 11 am-4 pm. Bring a beloved household item in to be assessed by our repair experts and learn alongside them. Items to bring include, but are not limited to, a dull kitchen knife, clothing, a bicycle, or a wooden chair.
Please bring one item for repair. If time allows, we may be able to accommodate additional items. We will do our best to get it fixed, but we cannot guarantee that your item will be repaired. This event does not require registration.
How to Join the Repair Café This Weekend
The best part is that the repairs are free. So check out your pile of things that need to be fixed and bring it to the Warford Activity Center on Saturday. You do not need to register, but you can give them a heads-up that you are coming HERE.
