Amarillo Restaurant Change Left Me Questioning A Lot

I do a lot of driving around Amarillo when I am delivering food. I love it because I get to notice a lot of things going on around Amarillo. Or at least I hope that I notice the changes. Recently I drove to pick up food at Chili's on I40 and Western and it made me question a lot of things.

Something looked different. At first, I thought that they repainted the whole building. I really could have sworn it was all red before and now it is a greyish color. I got on Google Maps and realized this was not the case. It was not all red, just the top of the building. The rest was grey.

Now it is all that greyish color. So that was one change. That is not the blaring missing item. I realized that the awnings were gone. I think they were just taken down to paint. I saw workers touching up the paint. So Chili's was once all red.

Now it seems to be all grey with the awnings gone. It just got me to thinking that I don't notice as much as I thought that I did. I did at least notice that something was missing. Chili's is all greyish and the awnings are gone.

What a difference the change has made. I wonder if the awnings will be the same or if they are getting all new ones. I guess only time will tell.

Chili's is freshening up its look and I noticed. I didn't know for sure what the changes were but I knew it was different. So I will be keeping a look out for the addition of the awnings. Yes, I know I have too much time on my hands.
