It's not too early to be thinking about Thanksgiving in Amarillo. It will be here before you know it. It's important to get a jump on things because there is so much to do, and even though it seems like you have so much time, did you notice how fast October flew by?

We just know that these final couple of months will be a blur. So if you are not someone who typically gets a lot of time off for that week of Thanksgiving, you may be shocked to know that some schools are out that whole week.

Canyon vs. Amarillo School Schedules
Amarillo schools are only out a few days, but Canyon has the whole week off. So if you are in that boat, you may need a bit more help than other parents. You may have family in town, you may have unlimited PTO, and that is great. If you don’t have unlimited PTO, you might need extra help.
Warford Activity Center Camp Details
Luckily, things have gotten easier with places that cater to helping those parents. Amarillo Parks and Recreation has a fun option:

At $60 for all three days, your child will have the time of their lives at Warford Activity Center, November 24th through the 26th.
Breakfast, lunch, and snacks are provided (courtesy of High Plains Food Bank). Please bring a swimsuit, towel, and lifejacket, if needed, as there will be swimming!
