First Job Postings Since Non-Profit Transition

Since transitioning to a non-profit model earlier this year, this marks the first time the facility has opened up new job listings. Take this as your chance to get out and find that dream job at the zoo.

Available Positions and Pay Rates

They are currently hiring for two positions. The current job listings are for both a Seasonal Janitorial Service Position and a Part-Time Zookeeper.

Seasonal Janitorial Services Position
Starting Pay: $10.00/hour
Duties include:
• Keeping visitor restrooms clean and stocked
• Emptying trash cans throughout the zoo
• Cleaning visitor walkways
• Sweeping and mopping
• Cleaning glass in the Education Building
• Assisting with other general cleaning tasks as needed
This is a seasonal summer position, but as we continue to grow, it could lead to a permanent opportunity.
If you love the outdoors and take pride in your work, this could be your perfect opportunity. It’s a great way to work outdoors, though those seeking direct animal interaction will naturally lean toward the zookeeper role.
Part-Time Zookeeper
Starting Pay: $15.00/hour
Requirements:
• Must have animal experience beyond household pets
• Zookeeping experience preferred
• Must be reliable, hardworking, and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
This position is currently part-time but could lead to a full-time opportunity for the right candidate.
