Amarillo’s Buc-ee’s Location Finally Lighting Up the Night Skies
Amarillo has some really great sunrises and sunsets. The Amarillo skies are so nice that there are songs written about them. Nothing, though, looks as nice as the recent changes happening over out at Airport Boulevard.
If you have been living under a rock you may not know what is going on in that direction. Of course, I am talking about the construction of the newest stop in Amarillo. We have had the Big Texan. We have had a must-stop location at the Cadillac Ranch.

We took ownership of the Slug Bug Ranch as well. Amarillo is adding to that. We are hoping that the rumors are true and this magical place will open in December. That magical place? Buc-ee's of course.
It once was just a dream. Now, we are watching step by step as it is becoming a reality. The newest changes at Airport Boulevard are the traffic lights. What was once just flashing red lights indicating a four-way stop is long gone. In the place are the normal traffic lights in all of their red, yellow, and green glory.
That is not the only change out there. The landscaping has been improved outside the building. There is the bright green grass. There are the shrubbery and trees that have been planted. It is really starting to take shape. A beautiful shape at that.
Now one of the most noticeable changes out at the future Buc-ee's happened recently. The outside lights are on. The Amarillo night skies are now illuminated by the sight of a cheery beaver named Buc-ee.
We are all for it. That just means nobody will be able to miss it coming into town. It is a little hidden from I40. Which is crazy to think being off of I40. The way the interstate is right there it really kind of is. Now, hopefully with the bright lights and all of the signs that will be there. Buc-ee's is going to be the talk of the town. Even more than it is now once it opens.
We are patiently waiting.
