Amarillo’s Chance for Coffee and Chat with Law Enforcement
I have always considered Amarillo a really big little town, meaning it has a lot to offer. We have a lot of people. We have a lot of places. There is a lot going on in our city but it still seems like we have a lot of small-town values. Or at least we try to keep that small-town feeling.
One of the best things about this big little town is how we can keep the lines of communication open. If we have a problem it is not hard to bring it up to the people who can help us solve it. If we need to get a message to the mayor or one of our city council we have the ability to do that.
The more communication the better. An even better way is to meet, chat, and get to know people in our community before you need them. It's nice to have a conversation and make that connection ahead of any situations that may arise.
That is what the Amarillo Police Department is making happen right now. They are starting that conversation. They are making those connections. They are even adding a nice piping hot cup of coffee to go with it.
What better way to have a conversation than over a cup of coffee? That is how people have been making connections for years. The Amarillo Police are using this opportunity to open up several coffee shops around our city to sit and chat.
You can ask the questions that you have. You can voice your concerns. You can just take the time to meet the fine folks protecting our city. Pick a date. Pick a location and start the conversation at an upcoming Coffee with Cops.
