How fondly do you look back on those days of field trips in Amarillo schools? The day you had to have your permission slip signed by your parents and you got to escape. Everyone loaded up on the bus for some great big adventure. Everything seemed so much better on field trip day.

How we wish we could have a field trip day during our workday. Just once in a while. How that would bring up morale for everyone. The best thing about a school field trip is that it was a lot of fun. Most of the time we didn't get that we were actually learning stuff. Sometimes the educators were able to hide that fact.

Even when we took a trip to the mall we were learning. We had to learn about budgeting our money. We were learning to have patience with our group and learning to wait in line. We had to budget our time. We had to meet back at a certain time so we learned time management and how to hit as many stores as possible.

It was all about learning something. Did you know that Maxwell Pumpkin Farms offers field trips for kids? They open the farm for a couple of weeks. They invite our school districts to bring out their students.

They do not limit their fun learning experience to just the kids in traditional schools. If you have a child that is homeschooled they have a day for you. They welcome daycares as well to come to check out their farm.

There is no better way to learn about farm animals and even the ecosystem. Maxwell's is a perfect place for that all while the kiddos are having fun. If you want to sign your school, daycare, or homeschooled family up check it out HERE.
