So I was taking a drive around Amarillo. I was trying to find a story idea. I had a few that I was verifying that I saw on social media. One of my stops brought me to McDonald's. I thought while I was there I would pick up a Happy Meal.

The story that I was hunting down didn't really pan out but what I did get from that trip to McDonald's had to be the cutest Happy Meal toy that I ever saw. Now back in the nineties, I collected the Beanie Babies that McDonalds had. I thought nothing could top those.

I was wrong. When I opened my Happy Meal Box there was another tiny box inside. So I opened it up to see what my treasure was. What's in the box? I had to know. The box itself was cute but what was inside was just darn right adorable.

Do you remember back when Crocs came out? There were people who loved them for their comfort. There were people who wouldn't be caught dead wearing them because they were so ugly. I am a fan. I have some. They are my granddaughter's favorite shoes to wear. Her mom loves that she wears them too. So easy to get on and off. She has several pairs.

What McDonald's has done for the Crocs is to make them just the cutest. I knew they were coming to the Happy Meal so when I ordered I made sure I picked the Croc's toy through the app. I was not disappointed at all.

It's a cute keychain that yes can double as a toy for the kids. The adorableness of it all has won so many points for McDonald's as far as I am concerned. If you wonder how this can be a keychain, there is a red ring that pops out of the bottom of the shoe. They have thought of everything.

I just now know there are many more trips to McDonald's in my near future to see how many of the ten-piece croc sets I can get. I mean that I can get for my granddaughter.

Do You Remember These Vintage McDonald's Glasses?

Long before we had the luxury of finding collectibles on the internet, we had to remember to get to our local McDonald's every week to get the next collectible glass. Yes, back in the late 70s and into the 1990s, McDonald's offered some really cool glasses. Here's a look at some of them that I found on eBay.
